Who we are
Basewiser is a software and consulting company based in Norway, offering self-hosted security tooling and expert consulting for Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365. You can reach us at contact@basewiser.com.
What data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate this website and respond to inquiries: • Contact form submissions — name, email address, and message content you provide when contacting us. These are processed via Formspree and stored only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. • Website analytics — we may collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, browser type, country) to understand how the site is used. No personally identifiable information is retained for analytics purposes. We do not collect any data from our products. Basewiser software runs entirely inside your own Azure tenant. No policy data, identity data, or configuration data ever leaves your environment or reaches our systems.
How we use your data
Data you submit via the contact form is used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not use it for marketing without your explicit consent, and we do not sell or share it with third parties except where required to deliver our services (e.g. Formspree for form processing).
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area and Norway, our legal basis for processing personal data is: • Legitimate interest — responding to inquiries you initiate. • Consent — where you have explicitly agreed to receive communications from us. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us at contact@basewiser.com.
Data retention
Contact form data is retained only as long as necessary to handle your inquiry, typically no longer than 12 months. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.
Third-party services
This website uses the following third-party services: • Formspree — for contact form processing. Their privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy. • Google Fonts — for typography. Font files are loaded from Google's CDN. Google's privacy policy applies to these requests. • Vercel — for hosting. Vercel may process request metadata (IP address, browser) as part of serving the site.
Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Any cookies set are strictly necessary for the functioning of the website.
